Raleon Chronicles: I; The Mirror Shard Prophecy
No one remembers how the world was named. Eladrin chroniclers claim that Raleon received its name over seven millenia ago at the dawn of the Herithian Imperium, who first colonized the distant islands across the Great Lake. Dwarven runesmiths, in the legends of their rune songs, say that the world was named by the Earth goddess Erekiah, who bequethed the name to her first daughter, the surface world. Still, the humans deign that the world was given its name by a race of angelic beings known as the Sho’Kal’Im, who infused into the planet the name of their God, Sho’Kal, the Breath-Giver.
The truth is anyone’s guess, and more than a thousand different religions have come and gone on the surface of Raleon. All that can be certain is that the very earth bears the name of Raleon, every object, every person, every act and deed. The very core of every being is inscribe with the power of Raleon, the utterance of the land, sea, and air.
